When using the Notification Server together with classic workflows, if the email sender field is left blank, the system will use the sender address configured in the Notification Server instead of the workflow user’s email address.
This behavior exists because most Notification Servers do not allow email relay. Therefore, the only permitted sender is the one defined in the Notification Server configuration, making the user’s email irrelevant in this context.
This approach is particularly useful when, for example, you configure an invoice workflow and have two Notification Servers, one for each company. With a single workflow, the issue is resolved because the system will determine which Notification Server to use (based on company-specific configuration) and apply the correct sender address.
