Currently, there's only a global switch to move from RTF Content-Type text's field to HTML version. Changing this switch involve to rework on any related report, and potentially raise some issues as well if backed RTF field are use as well for other purpose (eg. transmission to partner for massive printout).
IMHO, it should be possible at affordable cost to select either the RTF version or the HTML one, by widget, looking at the related backed field. Indeed, there's currently ACRTF and ACHTML builtin data types that may trigger this beahavior.
