After a product that is LPN managed is delivered on a intersite/intercompany transfer (both through Intersite transfer and PO-SO transfer), the LPN from the shipping site is not available at receipt. Therefore the LPN must be created and enterer at time of receipt. Maintaining LPN is critical for intersite/intercompany stock movement, especially when it comes to traceability. This is more critical when a company has a manufacturing site that ships product to a distribution site (both internal or external like 3PL) for shipment to customers.
