We are facing challenges in creating journal entries and importing financial data involving multiple currency exchange rates. Below is a detailed description of the issue:
NOTE: We have our Legal ledger in USD and Analytical ledger in CAD.
1. Journal Entry with Multiple Exchange Rates:
Our requirement is to create a single journal entry that accommodates different exchange rates.
The client intends to import opening balances where Profit and Loss (PNL) accounts use one exchange rate, while Balance Sheet accounts use a different exchange rate.
Currently, the system only allows setting a single exchange rate at the header level of a journal entry.
There appears to be no field available at the line level to assign different exchange rates for specific accounts within the same journal entry.
2. Importing Trial Balance with Multiple Currency Rates:
The client also needs to import a trial balance with multiple exchange rates applied to various accounts.
The absence of support for multiple exchange rates within a single journal entry creates a roadblock for accurately importing this data.
